Basic description of the project:
One often forgets death, just like one often oversees its omens; which is why this book was made from equally forgotten printmaking materials. The print clichГ©s of the letters and images recall ancient times, an era of fairy tales. The book is wrapped in a shroud and bound with a stamp that can convey parts of the fairy tale further and further. The different designs of the German and English parts depict death in flux. The portrayal of death as a constantly changing stain feeds into the same idea.

Copywriter: Lennart Frank

Graphic Designer: Thomas Lupo

Basic description of the project:
The brief: To develop an attention-getting promotion that attracts new supporters to FSC. Our strategy: Trees are essential to life. They improve the CO2 balance, offer habitat to animals and they are the beauty of nature. We felt that it was worth reminding people of that. Not by using nicely-shot images of forests, but in a different way – one with a little more depth. What we did was to add pencils to the tree’s branches. When they moved in the wind, unique works of art were created. These fascinating pictures were displayed and sent to potential supporters.

Basic description of the project:
Germany’s flats and apartments are full of them: messy corners. That’s why the world-famous home furnishings chain store IKEA offers boxes and drawers in all shapes and sizes to meet each and every storage need. Aiming specifically at the large number of Frankfurt citizens that live in smaller apartments, the local IKEA store asked us to promote their storage solutions with a real big outdoor idea. In one of Frankfurt’s busiest streets, we disguised the balconies of an entire apartment house as giant versions of IKEA’s drawers and cardboard boxes.

Basic description of the project:
Brief: To encourage the public and their families to visit the Museum of childhood’s Space exhibition. (The V&A’s toy museum in Bethnal Green.) Solution: We designed stickers so that kids could convert old washing-up liquid bottles into rockets. One of the stickers also had the information about the exhibition. The stickers enabled kids to enjoy their childhood and create a space ship whilst encouraging them to visit the museum to enjoy more space things. This tied into the ethos of the museum. Budget/Location: They were handed out at local stores and supermarkets when Mum’s bought washing-up liquid bottles.

Basic description of the project:
Oliver, Patrick and Glenn Grocers Pte Ltd is a medium sized grocery company that needed a corporate identity that would be used across all stationery and packaging. Although targeted at conservative housewives from middle income households, the younger owners that make up this somewhat more modern proprietorship (in what is typically an old fashioned industry in Singapore) requested something with a bit of fun. Having chanced upon an onion (Oliver), potato (Patrick) and ginger (Glenn) that resembled human faces was fantastic. Suffice to say, however, that was as far as the resemblance went.

This will be the business tool to leave a strong impression of the product and brand to the people one meets for the first time.

Basic description of the project:
Asia Book, the largest bookstore in Thailand, needs a unique business card to represent the business. Instead of a typical business card, we design business cards using a foot-note for people to take notice of and to express briefly about the name. Each card shows the bottom part of the pages from many kinds of books, therefore one business card would represent one book.

Basic description of the project:
Paul Russell is a writer specializing in marketing and corporate communications. He’s also a great guy with a brilliant sense of humour. He has the uncanny ability to cut through layers of superfluous details and shed light on subject matter which can be daunting at best. Zync’s solution was to create a series of vignettes which work as an introduction to Paul and his offerings. These stories are paired with design that works very hard to not detract from the content and to present Paul in all his unconventional glory.
